Last night while we were sitting on the couch playing on our computers I saw a little mouse run across the living room floor. I said "oh" rather loudly, and called for our dog Sammy to go get it. Well, we have this game we play where I say "who's here?--go get them!" and Sam runs to the window and starts howling regardless if someone is here or not. It's really rather cute, but this time I wanted him to chase the mouse, but he didn't see it so he didn't understand what I wanted him to do. So I run to the bathroom, where I believe they normally come in from, but it wasn't there so I checked the bedroom. I saw it run around the room and into the closet (another favorite entrance/exit). By then David had come in with a plastic container and I start pulling things off the closet floor. We've been trying to catch this sucker for quite a while, but he somehow always managed to escape. Last night was not his lucky night and David caught him. While we were trying to find something to slide under the container so we could dispose of him, Sam was freaking out trying to eat it. Well, we got it under control and I looked at that cute little brown mouse sitting on his back legs staring up at us and I told David we couldn't let Sam dog get him and we couldn't kill it. So I suggested we take him to the greenhouse where he could be warm and where I'm pretty sure there's still some green weeds growing. We released him and he ran under some wood chunks. I'm sure he'll be much happier out there...
